'Established 1935, modern eversince '. That's the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea.  Britain is such a beautiful island and the weather for our visit was perfect, Sometimes, I wonder why...

NottinghamDouble bill entertainment this weekend - a cat cafe in the afternoon, followed by a superb gig from Twin Atlantic at the Rescue Rooms in the evening.

Actually, a triple bill because the Salvation Army band, playing in the city centre, were excellent.

Nottingham is one of my favourite cities, and only two hours from Cleethorpes. The city centre is very lively at night, thanks to its two universities. We have seen lots of bands there. I remember back to my Open University days and summer schools on the science campus. Ah, the eighties.

Not sure how many cat cafes we've visited now, but our favourites remain Mog on the Tyne in (where else?) Newcastle, and Maison de Moggy in Edinburgh. It's a Japanese idea that we have adopted, apparently.
