SONY DSCNew Year's Day, 2018. Lovely and quiet, so an ideal chance to have a mooch around the docks.

I'm never quite sure if it's OK to walk around there or not, seing as there are security patrols and gate houses etc. It might all be private land.

I think on safety grounds, the authorities don't like you walking around anywhere near the ice factory, simply for health and safety reasons. A chunk of it might fall on your head! Such a shame it has gone to rack and ruin.

It being January 1st, I expected there to be few people around, but as it turned out there were NO people around. I had the place to myself.

I would love to have seen the place in its heyday, when it was the busiest fishing port IN THE WORLD!
